Torus takes part in Liverpool’s largest Pride March
29 July 2024
Colleagues from across the Torus Group joined the record-breaking 25,000 people who took to the streets of Liverpool to celebrate Pride. Led by our LGBTQ+ colleague network, Love Unity, colleagues from across the Torus Group marched with Pride through the streets of Liverpool.
A huge thank you to Love Unity for their involvement in Liverpool Pride, as well as Pride celebrations in St Helens, Warrington and across our offices.
Clare Mann, who was instrumental in organising Torus’s involvement in Pride events across our region and Torus Foundation Employment and Skills Advisor, commented:
“Pride events are more than just a march; they are powerful demonstrations of unity and pride in each other as colleagues and friends.
“Liverpool Pride was a real testament to Torus’s collective commitment to diversity, equality, and support for the LGBTQI+ community across the heartlands we work in and beyond.
“Marching alongside neighbouring organisations and charities, we celebrated the progress made for our LGBTQI+ communities but also acknowledged the ongoing work towards achieving true equality.
“A huge thank you to everyone in the 'Love Unity' colleague network, and all the colleagues from across the Torus Group for supporting Pride! We're grateful for your support. Although the Love Unity network only officially formed this year, it highlights the importance of uniting for a common goal: promoting equality and diversity in the workplace.”
Liverpool Pride rounds off a schedule of activities arranged by the Love Unity Colleague Network to celebrate Pride Month, including joining Pride celebrations in our communities and hosting Pride parties across our workplaces.
