Job ready Dane back on site
Springboard Cheshire is led by Torus Foundation and is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), Torus Foundation and Springboard Cheshire delivery and strategic partners.
Dane, from Warrington, heard about Springboard through Warrington Borough Council. Although an experienced scaffolder, Dan had been out of work for nine months and as his health and safety accreditation had expired, he wasn’t able to fund a replacement by himself.
Dane and his advisor, Chris from Torus Foundation, reviewed his existing skills, knowledge and experience. It was clear that Dane was ready for work, but wasn’t in a position to take up job offers as he didn’t have that important health and safety card.
Chris arranged for Springboard to cover the cost of a place allowing Dane to attend a local course.
After successfully completing the training, Dane was offered a job to start as soon as his certification came through and he’s now in full-time employment and enjoying his new role.
