Each week, the Foundation’s Health and Wellbeing team deliver a range of activities for Torus’ older residents living in both sheltered and the extra care schemes across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington.
Activities range from crafts, taking walks, gardening, chair based exercises, quizzes and more, which all contribute to improving residents’ health and wellbeing and work towards reducing isolation.
While the Foundation is closed over Christmas and New Year, the team have created and delivered over 1700 copies of their Festive Fun booklet, providing people with some Christmas puzzles, a couple of recipes to do at home and some tips on how to keep warm this Winter.
Although it’s targeted at Torus scheme residents as they’ve been invited to give feedback to the activities they’d like to see in their own scheme – everyone is welcome to take part in the puzzles and recipes.
If you or someone you know would like to download Festive Fun, enjoy!
If you’re part of a business and would like to help enhance any of the work taking place across the wider Foundation, don’t hesitate to get in touch in the New Year. Drop an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
