Torus Foundation is delighted to announce that our Managing Director, Kate Shone, has been appointed as Chair of Communities that Work.
As the national body of social landlords, Communities that Work aims to transform lives for good, by enabling housing providers to support people into rewarding, sustainable employment.
This is an exciting position for Kate to undertake, in which she will be helping to drive and reinforce the message that the link of housing and employment are integral for the benefit of our communities.
This ties in Torus Foundation’s ambitions to provide quality employment opportunities, empowering Torus tenants and the wider community.
Kate comments, “By being part of Communities that Work since its inception in 2012, I’ve been privileged to be part of the progress and steps being made to share best practice among members.
Going forward as Chair, I’m eager to support members in the drive to enhance our influence, maintaining an open dialogue with the Government and seize opportunities to strengthen meaningful services which tenants have access to.”
