Since May, Torus Foundation has been connecting Torus tenants and residents to mental health support, delivered through Computerised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (cCBT) under a new initiative, Mindspace.

Through Mindspace, flexible and virtual support is available to Torus customers referred to the service to help them improve mental health. An assessor will check if the participant is eligible and agree what modules may best support the needs.

Modules include overcoming depression or low mood, building self-esteem, stress, problem solving, controlling anger, mindfulness, mood and anxiety, social anxiety and work stress, which we hope will give people the tools they need to reach their full potential.

Helen Cibinda Ntale, Head of Health & Wellbeing at Torus Foundation commented:

“Poor mental health is often a huge barrier for people trying to reach their potential. It can stop people finding, and keeping, a job, it can make managing your money and your health a real challenge and, sadly, it can make people feel really isolated.

“We truly believe that offering Torus customers mental health support, provided by Making Space through the Mindspace initiative, we will be able to help so many people to reach their potential.”

If you are Torus customer and think you would benefit from Mindspace, please ask a Torus member of staff for more information.
